Our focus

We work across gender-based violence, child protection, and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse and sexual harassment, treating prevention, risk mitigation and response as one holistic system rather than three budget lines. Wherever there is a duty of care, there is a need for safeguarding practice.

Our services

1. Case management and victim assistance

   Technical support to live case handling, from intake through to closure. Victim assistance package design, referral mapping and pathway strengthening, quality assurance of case files and data, and supervision support for the people carrying the caseload.

2. Assessment and review

   Capacity and system assessments against Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) and UN standards. Policy gap analysis, readiness reviews, and after-action reviews of how a specific case was handled and what the handling revealed about the system around it.

3. Policy and systems design

   Policies, codes of conduct, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reporting channels and referral pathways, victim assistance protocols, ethical information management, and data protection. Built to be used under pressure, not to sit in a drawer until something goes wrong.

4. Investigations

   We do not conduct investigations. We design and strengthen the systems around them: investigation readiness assessments, referral and escalation arrangements, the interface between an investigation and victim/survivor assistance, information handling and confidentiality safeguards, and support to organisations sourcing and contracting external investigators. Post-incident, we review how a case was handled and what that reveals about the system that produced it.

5. Training and facilitation

   Immersive, simulation-based training that builds decision-making capability rather than awareness. Practitioner training, training of trainers, and briefings for senior leadership on what their role actually requires of them.

6. Gender-based violence (GBV) prevention, risk mitigation and response

   Programme design and technical support, GBV risk mitigation across sectors that do not consider themselves GBV actors, safe referral systems, and women and girls' safe spaces.

7. Research, evaluation and learning

   Evaluations, data analysis, and evidence products, including participatory and survivor-informed methods. Research that is usable by the people who commissioned it.
